Advisor of the interim government on power, energy and mineral resources Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan today said the interim government would follow open tendering procedure to ensure transparency in all procurement of power and energy sector.

“The Public Procurement Act 2006 and Public Procurement Rules 2008 will be followed in all procurements in the power and energy sector,” he told a delegation of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) at his ministry conference room.

Country Director of ADB in Bangladesh Edimon Ginting led the delegation.

Welcoming the delegation, the adviser informed the ADB delegation of the decisions taken by the interim government soon after assuming office.

“This government will henceforth take decisions based on real facts rather than just relying on statistics,” he informed the ADB team.
