Lieutenant General SM Kamrul Hassan today took the charge of the Principal Staff Officer (PSO) of Armed Forces Division.

Bangladesh Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman and Bangladesh Navy Chief Admiral M Nazmul Hassan adorned the rank badge of lieutenant general to SM Kamrul Hassan in the presence of interim government Chief Advisor Dr Muhammad Yunus at the state guest house Jamuna.

Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan was also present, said an ISPR release here today.

Lieutenant General SM Kamrul Hassan was commissioned in Corps of Infantry in Bangladesh Army on December 22, 1989.

He was also discharged his responsibilities as commandant of Bangladesh Military Academy, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Bangladesh Army, area commander of Rangpur area.
