Ansar coup failed : Case filed against 4,114,95 arrested

A case has been filed against 4,114 Ansar members at the capital’s Paltan Model Police Station for obstructing police work on Monday. Among them, 114 names have been mentioned.

Paltan police station sub-inspector Sajjad Hossain Bhuiya filed a case as the plaintiff. 95 Ansar members have been arrested in this case. They will be produced in Dhaka court.

Meanwhile, 109 Ansar members arrested in the case filed in the clash with the students in front of the secretariat have been produced in a Dhaka court. 109 members of Ansar were produced in the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court of Dhaka in the case filed in Shahbagh, Ramna and Paltan police stations till 1 pm today.

Earlier on Sunday (August 25) night in the secretariat, despite accepting various demands of Ansar, a group of the forces detained the advisers of the interim government and beat the officials in the secretariat. At this time he urged the students to go in front of the secretariat.

Responding to this call, when the students of Dhaka University tried to march towards the secretariat, Ansar members threw bricks at them and beat up some of the students. At one point, brick pelting happened between both parties. Later the students again gathered and chased the Ansar members.

At this time, the Ansar fired at the students. At least 30 students were injured in the firing, baton and chase. Students said that the injured were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Meanwhile, the interim government’s legal advisor Professor Dr. Asif Nazrul said that the conspiracy of those who created chaos in the secretariat under the umbrella of Ansar will not succeed. Action will be taken against them according to the existing law.
