Chief Advisor Yunus to meet secretaries for first time

Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus will sit with the secretaries of the ministries and departments for the first time since m taking charge of the interim government.

The meeting will be held at the Chief Advisor’s Office in Tejgaon, formerly the Prime Minister’s Office, on Wednesday, according to the Cabinet Division.

An assistant secretary of the Cabinet Division told bdnews24.com that it is scheduled to begin at 11am.
The interim government was formed on Aug 8, after the fall of the Awami League government on Aug 5.

The meeting follows a reshuffle in the secretary positions across nearly two dozen departments since the new government assumed power.

Several officials appointed on a contractual basis during the previous government have been removed.

Five additional secretaries who were forced to retire during the Awami League administration have been reinstated to senior secretary positions.
