A writ petition has been filed seeking directives of giving Taka 30 lakh to the family of each person killed in the student-people revolution.
Supreme Court lawyer Dr Md Yunus Ali Akanda filed the petition as secretaries of the cabinet, law and home and inspector general of police (IGP) were made respondents.
Akanda said the autocratic government of Sheikh Hasina has fled the country on August 5 in a wake of student-mass upsurge. Many students and people were killed during the movement, he added.
He said the writ will be presented before a high court vacation bench soon.
