168 lower court judges transferred

A total of 168 additional district judges, joint district judges, senior assistant judges, and assistant judges of lower courts have been transferred.

To this end, a gazette notification was issued by the Law and Justice Division of the Ministry of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs On Sunday.

The Law and Justice Division stated that these officials of the Bangladesh Judicial Service were transferred in consultation with the Supreme Court.

Among those transferred, 47 are additional district judges, seven joint district judges, and 114 senior assistant judges and assistant judges.

The transferred additional district judges have been instructed to hand over their responsibilities to the respective District and Sessions Judge/Metropolitan Sessions Judge or appointed head of the office by 12 September and immediately join their new postings.

Besides, the transferred joint district judges have been ordered to hand over their current responsibilities by 10 September and immediatelyreport to their new postings.

On the other hand, the transferred senior assistant judges and assistant judges have been instructed to hand over their current responsibilities by 12 September and immediately join their new postings.
