The reunion is finally happening on a larger scale. Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor has joined hands with filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj for his next untitled project, touted as a “big action commercial entertainer”. The duo has previously collaborated on acclaimed movies like Haider, Kaminey and Rangoon.

The new film will see Shahid share screen space with Triptii Dimri and will be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under his banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.

“I’m thrilled to collaborate once again with the incredible Sajid Nadiadwala, one of the finest producers and a dear friend, and the gifted Shahid Kapoor, my trusted talisman. What a delight to have Triptii Dimri, India’s National Crush, add her magic to this dream team,” the acclaimed filmmaker said in a statement.

Sajid Nadiadwala said he is thrilled to join forces with Vishal Bhardwaj, and the “phenomenal powerhouse” Shahid Kapoor. “It’s an honor to welcome the incredibly gifted Triptii Dimri to the #NGEFamily.”

Vishal Bhardwaj last directed the Netflix thriller Khufiya, which was headlined by Tabu. Shahid Kapoor, meanwhile, had a good 2024 with the romantic comedy Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, which emerged as a success. He will be next seen in the action thriller Deva, set to release next year on Valentine’s Day.

Post the blockbuster success of Animal last year, Triptii Dimri is on a spree with multiple projects lined up. She was recently seen in Bad Newz and will be next seen in the Rajkummar Rao-led comedy Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. Apart from these, she also has Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Dhadak 2, produced by Karan Johar.
