Adviser Fouzul Kabir instructs to complete BRT project construction work by 2024

The construction work of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project has been instructed to be completed by 2024, said Road Transport and Bridges Adviser Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan on Saturday.

The adviser gave the directive during a discussion held in the conference room of the BRT bus depot office in Gazipur, after inspecting the construction work of the BRT project this morning with the Ambassador of France to Bangladesh, Marie Masdupuy.

At the time, the adviser stated that, “In order to provide the desired service to the public correctly, we need to bring creativity, efficiency, and dynamism to the work. To plan and manage the project smoothly, the involvement of the local administration and local people must be increased.”

Advising to be cautious that the public’s money is utilised correctly for the public’s service, the adviser said that swift measures should be taken to repair and restore properties damaged during the movement related to the BRT project.

Finally, the adviser provided necessary directives regarding enhancing the security of the BRT project.
Senior Secretary of the Road Transport and Highways Division, Md Ahsanul Haque, and Professor Dr. M. Shamsul Haque from the Department of Civil Engineering at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology were present at the time, among others.
