Mirzaganj Journalists’ Forum, Dhaka formed: President Aminul, General Secretary Shajib

A new journalist organization ‘ Mirzaganj Journalists Forum’ (MJF), Dhaka has been formed with journalists working in different media in Dhaka of Mirzaganj Upazila in Patuakhali district in Saturday.
This organisation will exchange professional information, ideas, skills in journalism and unity among journalists including any problem of neglected Mirzaganj. This new journalist organization has made its debut with an effort to work on problems and possibilities at the local and national level.
On that occasion, Saturday, a welcome ceremony was organized at the organization’s temporary office at Topkhana Road, Dhaka with Md. Zakir Hossain, leader of Bangladesh Federal Journalist Union and the founder of several journalist organizations in the chair. Later, based on the opinions of all the members of the organization, an advisory council with two members and an executive council with nine members were formed to manage the activities of the organization.
The Advisory Council primarily holds the responsibility of the Election Commission and announces the Executive Council of the organization.
The president of the organization was elected Senior Reporter of ATN News Md. Aminul Islam and Feneral Secretary was elected the Sub-editor of the national English daily The Country Today Md. Asadusjaman (Shajib).
Besides, other newly-elected office -beaters are – Chief Editor of Mirzaganj Barta, Mahmudul Hasan-Joint General Secretary, Staff Reporter of Amader Arthoniti , Sushant Shaha -Finance Secretary of Mukta Khabar, Senior Reporter Rezaul Karim, Organizing Secretary Kamrul Hasan Shishir of Amader Din , Office Secretary- Staff Reporter of Muktakantha Masud Rana Jumur have been elected. Senior Reporter of Dhaka Mail Md. Borhan Uddin and ANB Editor Md. Abul Bashar Akhand have been elected Executive Members.
Md Zakir Hossain, leader of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists and founder of several journalist organizations, and Jawahar Iqbal Khan, Joint News Editor of Daily Bangladeshi Alo Patrika and General Editor of Dhaka Sub-Editors Council, were selected as advisors.
Apart from this, journalist A.R. Badal of Amader Arthoniti , Senior Staff Reporter Abdur Razzak of Bangladesher Alo and correspondent of Indian newspaper Dainik Sandan Md Zakir Hossain and Prothom Alo journalist Khandaker Atiq were present.
