After the fall of the Awami League government, various positions in the administration of the Islamic University (IU) became vacant due to the student movement on Sunday through an office order signed by acting registrar HM Ali Hasan issued new appointments.

New recruit members are as a student advisor, named Dr.Md.Obaydul Islam,is a prof.of Arabic-language and literature;Prof.of Al Quran and Islamic studies named Md.Eyakur Ali appointed as transport administrator;Prof.Md.Farukkuzzaman khan of CSE Department appointed as a IIER director. Moreover,Md. Annar Pasha has been appointed as acting director of Finance and Accounts sector.

The university has also appointed new hall provosts. Dr. Abul Kalam Azad is now the provost of Saddam Hossain Hall. Dr. Md. Jalal Uddin will lead Begum Khaleda Zia Hall. Dr. A. K. M. Rasheduzzaman has been appointed as the provost of Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall, and Dr. A. K. M. Shamsul Haque Siddiqui will take charge of Sheikh Hasina Hall.
