Former adviser Salman, ministers Anisul and Dipu Moni placed on remand

A Dhaka court on Saturday ordered different remand terms for several prominent figures in connection with four separate murder cases.
They are Salman F Rahman, former prime minister Sheikh Hasina’s adviser on private industry affairs, former law minister Anisul Huq, former social welfare minister Dipu Moni, former chief whip ASM Feroz, and former army officer Major General Ziaul Ahsan.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Jashim issued the remand orders, according to a sub-inspector present in the court.
Salman, Anisul, and Ziaul were each placed on a fresh 10-day remand in two murder cases filed with New Market and Lalbagh police stations.
Dipu Moni was remanded for four days in a case filed with Badda Police Station, while Feroz was placed on a seven-day remand in a case filed with Bhatara Police Station.
