Committee to turn Ganabhaban into museum to be formed by Sunday: Asif

Youth and Sports adviser Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan has said a committee will be formed by Sunday with architects and museum experts to turn Ganabhaban into the ‘July Uprising Memorial Museum’.

“Will start inauguration work soon,” he said after visiting Ganabhaban on Saturday (September 7).

Earlier on Thursday, the interim government took the decision to turn Ganabhaban into the ‘July Uprising Memorial Museum’ to preserve the memories of genocide happened in the month of July this year.

Asif Mahmud, “Ganabhaban to be freed for the public. It will be made ‘July Uprising Memorial Museum’ to preserve the memories of the genocide that happened in the month of July.

Informing that the processing to build up a museum will start soon, Asif said, “The Ganabhaban will be kept in the condition it is in, the way the people have kept it. A museum will be built up inside it.”

Information and Broadcasting adviser Nahid Islam and Industry Ministry adviser Adilur Rahman Khan were also visited Ganabhaban with Asif Mahmud.
