Abdur Rashid Mia new Chief Engineer of LGED

Additional Chief Engineer Md. Abdur Rashid Mia has been appointed as the Chief Engineer of the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED).

The Local Government Division of the LGRD Ministry has issued a notification on Tuesday in this regard.

Abdur Rashid Mia was serving as the Additional Chief Engineer (Grade-3) of the Human Resource Development, Quality Control and Environment Unit of LGED.

The terms of appointment state that this ongoing duty will be temporarily valid for six months. If it is necessary to give ongoing duty for more than six months, the approval of the concerned promotion committee or board must be obtained before the end of six months.

This ongoing duty cannot be claimed as a promotion. The notification also states that an employee performing current duties will not acquire any priority or right in terms of transfer or promotion to the current duty post or to any other post due to the performance of current duties.

It further stated that the officer performing current duties will use the title of the higher post and use the word ‘current duty’ with it. The terms and conditions of the notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on April 18, 2023 in this regard will be applicable.

It is noted here that Abdur Rashid Mia has performed his duty in various departments of LGED with reputation.
