JPC pays homage to Bangabandhu at Tungipara

The managing committee of Jatiya Press Club (JPC) today paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara in Gopalganj.
Members of JPC managing committee led by its President Farida Yeasmin, MP, and General Secretary Shyamol Dutta placed a floral wreath at the mausoleum of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memory of the architect of Bangladesh’s independence.
JPC Joint General Secretary Ayub Bhuiyan, Treasurer Shahed Chowdhury, members Kalyan Saha and Shahnaz Saddiqui Soma, and about 40 members of JPC, among others, were present.
Later, they offered prayer seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Bangabandhu and other martyrs who had to embrace martyrdom on the fateful August 15, 1975.
A special prayer was also offered wishing for longevity of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her family members.
JPC President Farida Yeasmin, MP, and Secretary Shyamol Dutta signed the visitors’ book there.
Beside, Managing Director (MD) of Bangladesh Journalist Welfare Trust (BJWT) Subhash Chandra Badal today paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing a wreath at his mausoleum at Tungipara in Gopalganj.
Senior Journalist Bhanu Ranjan Chakraborty, Sukumar Sarkar, President of Bangladesh Nari Sangbadik Kendra (Bangladesh Women Journalists Centre) Nasimun Ara Haque Manu, President of Gazipur Journalists’ Union Ataur Rahman, General Secretary of Joy Bangla Journalism Manchre Jahangir Khan Babu , among others, were present.
Later, Subhash Chandra Badal signed the visitors’ book there.
