UNGA president Abdulla Shahid arrives in India

United Nations General Assembly President Abdulla Shahid arrived in India on Sunday to meet the newly elected Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra, ANI reported.

Taking to Twitter, Shahid said that he will also meet UN Resident Coordinator in India, Shombi Sharp during his two-day visit.

The visit of Shahid, who is also the Foreign Minister of Maldives is expected to focus on ongoing issues at General Assembly and India’s engagement with the United Nations.
