BPL match-fixing trial begins tomorrow

A special tribunal will begin trials involving match-fixing allegations in cricket‘s Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) tomorrow (Sunday).

Justice Abdur Rashid, judge of the special tribunal, disclosed this at a press conference on Saturday morning.

Mohammad Ashraful, who has already testified to his wrong-doing, will not attend the trials.However the nine found guilty, including Dhaka Gladiator cricketers Mosharraf Rubel, Mahbubul Alam and Dhaka Gladiators franchise officials, will be required to attend hearing.

The franchise owners had said they will not be attending court sessions.
