LankaBangla Securities has launched a financial website, the first of its kind in Bangladesh, which offers a wide range of stockmarket analyses, company research and economic data.
Historical financial statements, advanced technical charts, capital market research, analytical tools and economic news will be available on the site.
“Information is currency, especially for institutions and people engaged in the capital markets,” said Wali Ul Islam, chief executive officer of LankaBangla Securities, at the launch of the portal, in Dhaka yesterday.
“LankaBangla always believes the faster a person has the access to information, the better decisions on investment he or she makes,” said the official of the leading stockbroker in the country.The portal with the availability of so much information will also help the Bangladesh stockmarket attract foreign investors, he said.
He said the site — lankabangla.duinvest.com — is updated with real-time information. “One can see or use the information upon successful registration through the portal.”
The company also celebrated the platinum jubilee of its monthly publication: Market Pulse.
The firm is also the first stockbroker in Bangladesh that uses a Bloomberg terminal to reach global investors and provide them with information on capital market since December 2010.
Bloomberg is an international financial service provider, which connects more than three lakh professional subscribers, including foreign fund managers and central banks.
Mohammed Nasir Uddin Chowdhury, Managing Director of LankaBangla Finance, the parent company of LankaBangla Securities, also spoke.
