Coast Guard distributed food items to St. Martin Islanders

Bangladesh Coast Guard has distributed food items to the St. Martin islanders on Friday noon.
Coast Guard Headquarters Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Sabbir Alam Sujan informed this through a press release.
He said that since its inception, Bangladesh Coast Guard has always come forward for the various needs of the underprivileged people of the coast/char areas. Bangladesh Coast Guard ship Mansoor Ali delivered food items to St. Martins as the transportation of food items to St. Martin is somewhat difficult due to hostile weather and rough seas.
The Coast Guard has started a 02-day food distribution program among the islanders in the 20-bed hospital of St. Martin Island. Under this program, Bangladesh Coast Guard ship Mansoor Ali distributed various food items to the islanders on Friday.
He further said that Captain BCGS Mansoor Ali Commander Mohammad Rashedul Karim, (ND), AFWC, PSC, BN and Station Commander St. Martin Lt. Commander Md Mizanul Haque Imran, (X) BN were present in the relief distribution program. Various food items are being provided to about one thousand families in this 02-day program.
