There have been various allegations against Abdul Majed, Principal of Bedkashi Collegiate School, Bedkashi Union, Koyra Upazila, Khulna, including fake job, employment trade, abuse of power.

On August 28, parents and former students of the school have written complaints to the Anti-Corruption Commission, Khulna Deputy Director and Koyra Upazila Executive Officer in several offices.

According to the complaint, about 15 teachers and staff have been appointed in the last 17 years in colleges and school branches. Principal Abdul Majed accepted an illegal bribe of around one crore rupees. He has done more than one job in an eccentric manner without paying attention to the rules. Because of Abdul Majed’s affinity with local Awami League leaders, no one dared to say anything to him. On August 19, 2021, a person named Ayub Ali was appointed as Computer Lab Assistant in Bedkashi Collegiate School.

The institution appointed a lecturer named Mostafizur Rahman who failed the SSC examination from Bedkashi Collegiate School in the academic year 1999-2000. Later, he passed the SSC in 2005 after repeated examinations from other educational institutions. He used to boast that he had obtained the teacher’s registration exam by cheating (through body change).

A teacher, who did not want to be named, said, “He used to show arrogance and say that my institution will run according to my wishes.” I can’t protest even if I do various irregularities. If you protest, you will be harassed.

Abdul Majed, principal of Bedkashi Collegiate School, said that all the allegations against us are false, fabricated and motivated.

In this regard, Koyra Upazila Executive Officer Ruli Biswas said, I have received a complaint. Action will be taken according to investigation.
