The teachers, students, parents and residents of the school formed a human chain demanding the removal of the suspended headmaster Shahidul Islam Sarkar Mortuza of Dhawagir High School of Shibganj Upazila of Bogura.

The human chain was held on Thursday at 12 o’clock in the Dhawagir High School grounds of the upazila demanding the removal of the head teacher on the charges of corruption, irregularities, misdeeds, misappropriation of money, non-MPO teachers, recruitment trade, indecent behavior with students and single arbitrariness for 24 years.

Teachers Atiqur Rahman, Harunor Rashid, Tipu Sultan, Shamol Chandra, Belal Hossain, Mozaffar Hossain, Kona Begum, parents Sihabul Alam Sweet, Munnu, Golam Rabbani Faruq, Kamruzzaman Saki, Joynal Abedin and other students and local residents were present in the human chain. The speakers in the human chain demanded the immediate removal of the suspended head teacher Shahidul Islam Sarkar Mortuza.

In this regard, Shibganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Dhawagir High School President Tahmina Akhtar said that necessary action will be taken after investigating the complaint brought against the head teacher.
