Resignation of Chattogram WASA MD within 24- hour demanded

The protesters demanded resignation of Chittagong WASA MD within 24 hours on Sunday. Anti-Discrimination General Citizens Samaj staged a protest at the MD’s office at 11 am and set the ultimatum.
At the time, they highlighted 17-point demands and said that MD Fazlullah’s income tax statement 2009-2024 and asset statement should be disclosed to the public, complete information of the travel bill (2009-2024) should be disclosed and the travel bill should be deposited in the government treasury immediately after the travel bill has been turned into a business.
Abolition of board consisting of pets, disbandment of engineering and revenue wing of Chittagong WASA, taking administrative action against corrupt officials/employees, identification and permanent expulsion of WASA employees who took part in riots on behalf of the dictatorial government on August 4, all illegal offices given by MD after the fall of the government.
Cancellation of the order, reinstatement of all the officers and employees dismissed during Fazlullah’s time, depositing the vehicles and fuel of those officers who are using unauthorized vehicles and fuel in the government treasury, speedy transfer of all the officers and employees who have been working in the same workplace for more than 5 years, 17 Demanding his resignation. Later, in his room at one stage, the agitators started chanting 1 point 1 demand for the resignation of Wasser MD.
It should be noted that after the Awami League government came to power, he was contractually appointed as Wasser Board Chairman in 2009. Since 2011, he has occupied the post of MD under the influence of Awami League government. In every case of WASA, this MD has smuggled thousands of crores of rupees by taking refuge in irregularities and corruption.
Later, Wasar MD AKM Fazlullah talked to reporters about the resignation. He said some people and students came and demanded my resignation. I have been appointed by the government and I will resign as per order of the government. However, the agitators set a deadline for the current MD to resign within the next 24 hours.
