Coast Guard arrested notorious dacoit gang leader Bahadur, his accomplice with firearms, ammunition in Bhola

Bangladesh Coast Guard has arrested the notorious dacoit gang leader Bahadur and his accomplice Iqbal Hossain along with firearms, ammunition and indigenous weapons at Banger Char of Meghna River in Bhola.
On Monday noon, Coast Guard Headquarters media officer Lt. Commander Sabbir Alam Sujan gave this information.
He said that for several days, the Coast Guard came to know that an active dacoit group was carrying out robbery activities by taking hostages of various fishermen in Banger Char under Sadar Thana of Bhola district.
Aggrieved fishermen have also faced various threats of death if they seek help from the Coast Guard. Subsequently, on the basis of confidential information, a special operation was conducted in Banger Char area of Meghna River under Sadar Upazila of Bhola district by BCG Base Bhola under Bangladesh Coast Guard South Zone from 0100 hours to 0800 hours on Monday 02 September.
After conducting an hour-long combing operation in the hideout of an active dacoit called Bahadur Bahini in the area, Bahadur Bahini chief Ali Azgar alias Bahadur (42) and his accomplice Iqbal Hosan (26) recovered 03 country-made firearms, 15 rounds of live ammunition, 20 different country-made weapons and 1,15,075/00 (Taka one lakh fifteen thousand seventy five only) in cash was seized.
The arrested robbers are the sons of Golam Mostafa and Abul Kalam, residents of Rajapur, Ward No. 7 of Dhaniya and Ward No. 6 of Charmanisha under Sadar Upazila of Bhola district.
He further said that later all the evidence including the arrested dacoits and seized domestic weapons were handed over to Bhola Sadar police station.
