Mohammad Yunus has been removed from the post of chairman of Chittagong Development Authority (CDA) and Nurul Karim, former additional chief engineer of the Power Development Board, has been appointed as CDA chairman for three years.

The government issued this notification on Monday (02 September). Mohammad Yunus is a member of the National Committee of Awami League. He was hired four months ago.

It is said in the notification signed by the Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, Kaniz Fatema, that the remaining term of the appointment of CDA Chairman Mohammad Yunuch has been cancelled.

Nurul Karim was appointed as chairman for a period of three years. He will remain in this position for the next three years from the date of joining on the condition of severing working relationship with other institutions and organizations.

Md. Nurul Karim studied at Bangladesh University of Engineering (BUET). He is the former General Secretary and Vice Chairman of Engineers Institution Bangladesh (IEB) Chittagong Centre.
